FPN Holds Second Annual
Statewide Summit on Philanthropy
More than 150 people from Florida's grantmaking
field and other sectors gathered in Orlando on February
11-12, 2010, for FPN's second annual Statewide Summit on
Philanthropy, which was sponsored by Bank of America, MicroEdge, M&I Institutional Trust Services, Allegany
Franciscan Ministries, Fifth Third Bank and the Florida
Health Policy Center. The event explored how foundations in the
state are working in new ways to solve some of the
state's most intractable problems in such areas as
health care, education, workforce development and social
service. Funders also had the opportunity to network
with others working on similar issues or having similar
job functions.
