FPN-National Center for Family Philanthropy Teleconference
Family Giving Beyond Borders for Long-Term Results

October 14, 2010
Noon - 1:30 pm ET

Who Should Attend: Boards and staffs of family foundations and others who work with families on their philanthropy.  This FPN-NCFP teleconference is open to the staffs and boards of FPN member organizations.
Cost: No charge.
To Register: Register Online.
Presenters: Karen Ansara, Co-Founder, Ansara Family Fund, and and Rob Buchanan, President, El-Hibri Charitable Foundation.

How can a family foundation or donor advised fund maintain the long-term focus - and patience - needed to achieve real results in international philanthropy?

How can families just getting started in international philanthropy make the most difference, even with small grants, and what are the rules and regulations guiding this work?

This timely and provocative call will feature Karen Ansara, co-founder of the Ansara Family Fund, a leading investor in the rebuilding process in Haiti, and Rob Buchanan, president of the El-Hibri Charitable Foundation and former managing director of international programs for the Council on Foundations.  Family philanthropists are invited to join the discussion and share their own perspectives on the difficult but vital work of giving beyond our borders.

You cannot do a kindness too soon, because you never know how soon it will be too late.
