Join your Tampa Bay grantmaking colleagues for Part II of the discussion started at out last convening in January. We will have an engaging conversation to move forward in understanding the role of funders in this most fundamental issue of poverty in Tampa Bay.

Each of our guests represents a different type of engagement in the discussion of poverty in our community. Stephanie Wiendl from The Junior League of Tampa will discuss the Bridges Out of Poverty model and report on their community training with Ruby Paine. The efforts of the Junior League may be seen as focused on Issue Education and Advocacy. Pat Rogers, Chair of the Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger, will update us on the mapping as well as the structure and progress of the cooperative that has been formed to try to address this complex issue. The Network is focused on Data and Action. Dan Jurman from the University Area CDC will continue to discuss how his organization is tackling poverty in the University Area Community, which is one of the most poverty-stricken areas of the region. Their work is really about Community Based System Change.

Save the Date!
