A Special Meeting for all FPN Members

Please join this joint session of the Education Affinity Group and Florida Health Funders, as we explore the impact of mental health on educational outcomes, share ideas for addressing mental health in school-age children, and discuss opportunities to have a positive effect.

The session will begin with Dr. Paul Simeone, Vice President and Medical Director of Behavioral Health for Lee Health, who will discuss how student mental health influences educational outcomes and the consequences of COVID. Next, Jacob Oliva, Chancellor of Public Schools at the Florida Department of Education, will discuss the role of schools in providing mental health services, including funding mechanisms, and what schools track to measure student mental health. The speakers will be followed by foundations active in this space sharing their approach to mental health for school-age youth and the session will conclude with identifying opportunities to work together.

This meeting is free and open to all FPN Members.
