Florida’s water resources, both freshwater and marine, are the cornerstone of the state’s economic, social, and environmental well-being.  Recent reports have sounded the alarm that the state’s growth is outpacing its freshwater supplies.  At the same time, the harmful algal blooms of recent years have affected the health and well-being of human communities, as well as manatees, turtles, and fish.  Algal blooms forced business closures, increased hospitalizations, and caused significant animal mortality.  Join us for a briefing call on Governor DeSantis’ initiatives, recent policy developments, and how philanthropy might support a Healthy Water Initiative for All Floridians.
