Please join the Space Coast Health Foundation in partnership with the Florida Philanthropic Network for a Community Conversation on Access to Healthcare Coverage.  This presentation will unpack newly released data and propose some solutions on Florida's uninsured rate, a number that recently increased rather than decreased.

Joan Alker, our presenter, is the Executive Director of the Center for Children and Families (CCF) and a Research Professor at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy. Her work focuses on health coverage for low-income children and families, with an emphasis on Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She authors an annual report on the nation’s progress on covering children.

In addition, she writes about a range of issues including Medicaid waivers, premium assistance and was the principal investigator of a multi-year study on Florida’s Medicaid program.

Following Joan's presentation attendees will also hear from a panel including Liz Lee United Way and Jodi Ray Florida Covering Kids & Families.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 10, 2018 by responding by calling (321) 241-6604, or FPN Members can register online here.

A flyer is provided below for sharing.
