Feeding Tampa Bay, Bucs defensive lineman, lead separate recovery efforts

One group that made a significant donation to Feeding Tampa Bay is the The Tampa Bay Disaster Relief Fund. The collaborative, multi-county effort sparked by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and several United Way outlets in the region approved its first nonprofit grant on Wednesday: $100,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay to help with its distributions.

Cause & Effect: Taking on a larger role to help students

It was evident at last year’s Southwest Florida Wine & Food Festival when local philanthropists stepped up and raised over $1 million dollars from the auction floor to support mental health initiatives for children that the will is there to do more. The data is in, the awareness is up and the will to make a difference seems to be at an all-time high which is a great formula to begin designing some solutions together.
