The Executive Director will report ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌Board‌ ‌of‌ ‌Directors. ‌ The‌ ‌Executive‌ ‌Director‌ ‌will‌ ‌have‌ ‌strategic‌ ‌and‌ ‌operational‌ ‌responsibility‌ ‌for‌ ‌The Perlman‌ ‌Music‌ Program‌ ‌Suncoast‌ ‌staff, ‌ ‌programs, ‌ ‌fundraising, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌execution‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization’s ‌mission.‌ ‌

 ‌Essential‌ ‌Responsibilities/Principal ‌Activities‌

Leadership‌ ‌and‌ ‌Management:‌ ‌

●Actively‌ ‌engage‌ ‌and‌ ‌energize‌ board‌ ‌members, ‌ ‌committees, ‌ ‌partnering‌ ‌organizations‌ volunteers’ ‌and‌ ‌funders‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌mission‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization.‌ ‌

●Develop, ‌ ‌maintain, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌support‌ ‌Board‌ ‌of‌ ‌Directors:‌ ‌serves‌ ‌as‌ ‌ex-officio‌ ‌of‌ ‌each‌ ‌committee, ‌ ‌seek‌ ‌and‌ ‌build‌ ‌board‌ ‌involvement.‌ ‌ ‌

●Establish‌ ‌strong‌ ‌working‌ ‌relationships‌ ‌with‌ PMP Founder, Toby Perlman and the PMP Executive Director. ‌ ‌

 

Administration: ‌

●Maintain‌ ‌official‌ ‌records‌ ‌and‌ ‌documents, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌ensure‌ ‌compliance‌ ‌with‌ ‌federal, ‌ ‌state‌ ‌and‌ ‌local‌ ‌regulations.‌ ‌

●Keep‌ ‌the‌ ‌board‌ ‌ ‌fully‌ ‌informed‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ financial and operational ‌condition‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization‌ ‌and‌ ‌all‌ ‌important‌ ‌factors‌ ‌influencing‌ ‌it.‌ ‌

 Oversee efficient running of the office and its operations

Supervisory: ‌ ‌

●Be‌ ‌responsible‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌recruitment, ‌ ‌employment, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌release‌ ‌of‌ ‌all‌ ‌personnel.‌ ‌

●Ensure‌ ‌that‌ ‌job‌ ‌descriptions‌ ‌are‌ ‌current, ‌ ‌that‌ ‌regular‌ ‌performance‌ ‌evaluations‌ ‌are‌ ‌held, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌that‌ ‌sound‌ ‌human‌ ‌resource‌ ‌practices‌ ‌are‌ ‌in‌ ‌place.‌ ‌

●Encourage‌ ‌staff‌ ‌and‌ ‌volunteer‌ ‌development‌ ‌and‌ ‌education.‌ ‌

●Maintain‌ ‌a‌ ‌climate‌ ‌which‌ ‌attracts, ‌ ‌keeps, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌motivates‌ ‌staff‌ ‌and‌ ‌volunteers.‌ ‌

Fundraising‌ ‌and‌ ‌Communications:‌ ‌

●Expand‌ ‌fundraising‌ ‌activities‌ ‌to‌ ‌support‌ and grow ‌existing‌ ‌program‌ ‌operations.‌ ‌

●Deepen‌ ‌and‌ ‌refine‌ ‌all‌ ‌aspects‌ ‌of‌ ‌communications‌ ‌–‌ ‌from‌ ‌web‌ ‌presence‌ ‌to‌ ‌external‌ ‌relations‌ ‌within‌ ‌the‌ ‌community‌ ‌‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌goal‌ ‌of‌ ‌creating‌ ‌a‌ ‌stronger‌ and more marketable ‌brand.‌ ‌

●Develop‌ ‌personal relationships‌ with key community donors and stakeholders ‌to‌ ‌garner‌ ‌new‌ ‌opportunities.‌ ‌

●Publicize‌ ‌the‌ ‌activities‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization, ‌ ‌its‌ ‌programs‌ ‌and‌ ‌goals‌ ‌through‌ ‌media‌ ‌outlets, ‌ ‌website, ‌ ‌Facebook, ‌ ‌Twitter‌ ‌and‌ ‌other‌ ‌appropriate‌ ‌means.‌ ‌

Budget‌ ‌and‌ ‌Finance:‌

●Be‌ ‌responsible‌ ‌in‌ ‌developing‌ ‌and‌ ‌maintaining‌ ‌sound‌ ‌financial‌ ‌practices.‌ ‌

●Work‌ ‌with‌ ‌staff, ‌ Finance‌ ‌Committee, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌Board‌ ‌in‌ ‌preparing‌ ‌a‌ ‌budget; ‌ ‌see‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization‌ ‌operates‌ ‌within‌ ‌budget‌ ‌guidelines.‌ ‌

●Ensure‌ ‌that‌ ‌adequate‌ ‌funds‌ ‌are‌ ‌available‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌organization‌ ‌to‌ ‌carry‌ ‌out‌ ‌its‌ ‌work.‌ ‌

Programs‌ ‌and‌ ‌Residencies‌

 Responsible for the Winter‌ ‌residency‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Perlman‌ ‌Music‌ ‌Program, ‌ ‌alumni‌ ‌concerts, ‌ ‌visits‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌schools‌ ,  ‌outreach‌ ‌concerts‌ ‌and other programs

Qualifications‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Executive‌ ‌Directors‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌thoroughly‌ ‌committed‌ ‌to‌ ‌The PMP/S mission.‌

The‌ ‌ideal‌ ‌candidate‌ ‌has‌ ‌experience‌ ‌in‌ ‌nonprofit‌ ‌management,‌ grant writing, ‌fundraising,‌ ‌event‌ ‌management,‌ ‌volunteer‌ ‌management,‌ ‌strong‌ ‌communication‌ ‌skills,‌ ‌is‌ ‌organized‌ ‌and‌ ‌able‌ ‌to‌ ‌multitask.‌  ‌Knowledge‌ ‌of‌ ‌QuickBooks,‌ ‌Word,‌ ‌and‌ ‌Excel‌ ‌required.‌  ‌Experience‌ ‌with‌ ‌fundraising‌ ‌database(s)‌ ‌a‌ ‌plus.

Additional qualifications include:

●‌ ‌Bachelor‌ degree in ‌ Management, Arts or Finance preferred

●Three‌ ‌or‌ ‌more‌ ‌years‌ ‌of‌ ‌fundraising‌ ‌experience.‌ ‌Certified‌ ‌Fund‌ ‌Raising‌ ‌Executive‌ ‌credentials‌ ‌preferred.‌ ‌

●Three or more years of non-profit management experience.‌ ‌

●Strong‌ ‌marketing, ‌ ‌public‌ ‌relations, ‌ ‌fundraising, ‌ ‌and‌ ‌special‌ ‌event‌ ‌experience‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌ability‌ ‌to‌ ‌engage‌ ‌a‌ ‌wide‌ ‌range‌ ‌of‌ ‌stakeholders.‌ ‌

●Strong‌ ‌written‌ ‌and‌ ‌verbal‌ ‌communication‌ ‌skills.‌ ‌

●Action-oriented, ‌ ‌entrepreneurial, ‌ ‌adaptable, ‌ organized ‌and‌ enthusiastic. ‌ ‌

●Ability‌ ‌to‌ ‌work‌ ‌effectively‌ ‌with‌ ‌diverse‌ ‌groups‌ ‌of‌ ‌people.‌ ‌
