2020 Census Citizenship Question Survey

On June 8, the Commerce Department (which oversees the Census Bureau) invited the public to comment on the paperwork associated with the 2020 census.  The public has 60 days – until August 7 – to submit comments.

This is one of the few opportunities for philanthropy to make its case that the citizenship question should be removed from the census questionnaire.

FEMA extends deadline to apply for assistance

Release Date: 
10/27/2017

The deadline for Hurricane Irma survivors in all 48 Florida counties to register for FEMA individual disaster assistance has been extended to Nov. 24.

Federal disaster assistance for individuals and families can include money for rental assistance, essential home repairs, personal property losses and other serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.
