New UF Health Jacksonville center to help epilepsy patients

May 29, 2018

In June, UF Health Jacksonville will open a new center to provide advanced care for epilepsy patients.

At the facility’s Epilepsy Wellness Center, patients will receive memory and stress-management assessments. They will be evaluated on such things as how well they remember to take medications and how accurately they document their seizures, according to UF Health.

The center, which is in the neurology suite on the UF Health Jacksonville campus in Springfield, receives funding from the Riverside Hospital Foundation, Jessie Ball duPont Fund, Florida Blue Foundation and the UF College of Medicine–Jacksonville dean's office.
