A group of frustrated Indian River County moms and dads, Rob Slezak, Kelley Della Porta and Patty Howard, working with the City of Vero Beach to resurrect three major public playgrounds in the city – first Humiston Park, then Riverside Park, and now Troy Moody Park. They started the non-profit GoPlayVero as a Fund of the Indian River Community Foundation to raise money to purchase the playground equipment. The City agreed to do the sitework, installation, and future upkeep.
