Key Findings: Health Insurance

Publication date:
June, 2017

This one-pager highlights key findings in health insurance from the Status of Women by County: Poverty & Opportunity report commissioned by FPN's Florida Women's Funding Alliance.

Rates of health insurance coverage among Florida women vary widely by county, with the highest rate at 86.3 percent in St. Johns County and the lowest rate at 60.7 percent in Glades County. Women’s coverage rates are higher than men’s in every racial and ethnic group; yet Florida ranks 50th in the nation for its share of nonelderly women with health insurance.
