Dear FPN Members,
It has come to our attention that Go Fund Me has recently set up unauthorized fundraising accounts for many nonprofit organizations across the country, with FPN being one of them. Go Fund Me is using publicly available data such as EINs and 990 information to set up these accounts without consent.
Please do not utilize the page to process any payments to FPN, we are currently working on deactivating it permanently, which has proved to be a tedious process.
We encourage you to not only check to see if an account has been created for your organization, but to share this information with your grantee partners so they are not adversely impacted in any way.
We will continue to share updates as needed. Over 1.4 million unauthorized accounts have been set up to date across the country.
