Join fellow FPN FHF members for a briefing from Matt Herndon of FPN’s lobby firm RSA Consulting on the outcome of the recent election and what to expect from the Florida Legislative session in 2023. We’ll have time for discussion and some future planning for the direction of the group’s priorities as well.

Joan Alker
Executive Director, Center for Children and Families,
Research Professor, Georgetown McCourt School of Public Policy

Dr. Alker will join the meeting to outline the anticipated impact the end of the public health emergency will have on Floridians currently receiving Medicaid coverage.

Fernanda M. Kuchkarian
Director of Programs, Health Foundation of South Florida

Fernanda Kuchkarian will present on a partnership with the Florida Health Justice Project, highlighting lessons learned and best practices.

About Matt Herndon


Matt Herndon is a Local Government and Community Affairs Consultant with RSA Consulting Group, a governmental relations firm located in Tampa Bay. In his role at RSA, Matt supports the Florida Philanthropic Network and the Florida Health Funders Affinity Group with their public policy initiatives. His work focuses on a variety of issues at the local and statewide levels. A seasoned legislative staffer with nearly a decade of experience in the Florida Legislature, Matt uses his expertise to help clients successfully navigate the policymaking process. Alongside his service in the Legislature, Matt recently completed a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security at the University of Central Florida.
