Funding for the Future
In Funding for the Future, Winter Park Health Foundation President & CEO Nicholas Abrahams will explore WPHF’s recent strategic planning process and how it’s shaping the next phase of the Foundation’s work in the communities we serve. In January 2026, WPHF unveiled a refreshed brand identity and new strategic priorities – Access to Primary Care, Food Is Health, and Youth Mental Health. This presentation will explore how WPHF’s strategy has evolved over the past more than three decades to address the needs of the community and how these strategic priorities will define the next phase of the Foundation’s work to advance health through collaboration and commitment. Discover how we invest with intention, walking alongside organizations that drive meaningful change and amplifying partners who advance our commitment to healthier futures. Funding for the Future will also explore our community facilities, including the Center for Health & Wellbeing, and how these resources allow WPHF to advance our mission to improve community health.

Erica Monet Li, MPH, CHES®
Health Policy Analyst
Florida Policy Institute
Erica Monet Li is a public health professional who specializes in social, behavioral, and health education sciences with a concentration in health equity. She currently serves in the role of Health Policy Analyst at Florida Policy Institute. She is also the founder and former chair of the Sisters in Public Health Tampa
Bay Chapter, a national nonprofit whose mission is to create a safe space to empower, educate, and evolve the generation of women in public health. Erica serves as a subject matter expert for Inclusivity LLC, an organizational development and marketing advisory firm that passionately believes a diverse workforce fuels creativity, innovation and economic growth. She aids in the mission of working with clients and organizations to advance cultural competencies in the workplace and amongst the workforce.
Erica previously served as Equity Operations Manager at the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that fosters community collaborations for helping the underserved. She mobilized several coalitions to advance health equity in Tampa Bay. She was integral to the development of an award-winning mobile application that enhanced the capacity for organizations throughout Tampa Bay to connect, keep track of new projects, and leverage new resources for funding and event sharing.
Erica’s other previous work includes capacity building for collaborative health efforts in Atlanta, Georgia, along with conducting a community needs assessment to address barriers linking at-risk clients to HIV treatment services and wraparound care. Erica also served to evaluate the effects of public housing programs on the well-being of low income families in Atlanta. She served as a graduate teaching assistant at Emory University at the Rollins School of Public Health, and also hosted a radio show, “Black Health Now,” that provided programming specifically geared to educating communities of color on issues related to personal empowerment, health and fitness, financial stability, social engagement, and inspirational messaging.
Erica received her Master’s in Public Health from Emory University. She received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences with minors in wellness and sociology from the University of Missouri.

Nicholas Abrahams
President & CEO
Winter Park Health Foundation
Nicholas Abrahams is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Winter Park Health Foundation, a position he has held since August 2024. In this role, Nicholas oversees the foundation’s strategic direction, focused on enhancing impact and advancing WPHF's mission to improve health in our community. Prior to joining WPHF, Nicholas accumulated extensive leadership experience through roles with the Orlando Economic Partnership, the St. Johns River Water Management District, and the Florida Senate. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Nicholas is actively engaged in the community through his involvement with several philanthropic organizations. He serves on the boards of AdventHealth Orlando, Florida Citrus Sports, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando & Osceola County, Lake Highland Preparatory School, the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation Advisory Board, the UCF Downtown Dean’s Advisory Council, the UCF Honors College Dean’s Advisory Board, and the VyStar Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors. Alongside his wife, Courtney, and daughter, Elle, Nicholas is focused on strengthening health and wellbeing across Central Florida... Well into the future.
